Tony Malanchuk, president of Basement Systems Winnipeg, first opened his doors for business in 2003, known then as the "Foundation Doctor". At that time, he'd started in a 1,000 square foot building, using his personal truck and trailer to get him started. Word spread about his service, and the company grew quickly, moving into a 2,000 square foot facility quickly.

In 2005, Tony renamed his company "Basement Systems Winnipeg", reflecting its status as the premiere basement waterproofing company in both Winnipeg and the entire province of Manitoba. Today, the company has already expanded to a 4,500 square foot building – with 40 staff members and a full fleet of 10 trucks and vans for service workers and installation crews.

Tony has a strong sense of community involvement, and has invested a great deal of his resources back into the community he lives in. He's a dedicated volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, using his Carpentry certification to serve as a house team leader. In 2003, he was a part house sponsor of the first Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) house that was constructed out of concrete, from the basement to the rafters.

Additionally, Tony and Basement Systems Winnipeg have been featured in multiple trade magazines as industry leaders in waterproofing and foundation stabilization.
